Realtor closing gifts clients open the first night
Plenty of realtor closing gifts are made to be kept on a shelf. This one is made to be used: a bottle of hot sauce with your logo and a welcome-home line, opened at the first takeout dinner on the kitchen floor and kept in the kitchen for months. At four closings a month, one order of 48 bottles lasts 12 months.

Good to know
Is hot sauce a good closing gift for clients?
Usually, yes: it gets used in the first week, needs no space on a wall or shelf, and keeps your name in the kitchen. Choose a medium or mild sauce, since you won’t know every buyer’s taste, and pair it with a card that has the buyer’s name.
Can I put my logo and brokerage on the label?
Yes. Put your logo on the front or the back panel, and your name, brokerage, phone and website on the back. Ask your broker what your state requires alongside your name in advertising.
Can each bottle have the buyer’s name on it?
No. Every bottle in a batch shares one label. Use a general welcome-home label and add the buyer’s name on a card or tag.
How long will the bottles keep?
Store them somewhere cool and dark. Each bottle carries a lot code; ask us to confirm the recommended shelf life for your flavor before you buy a year’s supply.
Is a closing gift tax-deductible?
Business gifts are generally deductible up to $25 per recipient per tax year (IRS Publication 463). At the 48-bottle minimum, one bottle costs $10.31 delivered. This is not tax advice.
Can I give bottles to lenders or agents who refer clients?
Be careful. RESPA Section 8 prohibits giving anything of value in exchange for referrals of settlement business. Ask your broker or compliance team before gifting referral partners.
What should the label say?
Something about the new home, your logo and your contact details. Keep the buyer’s name for a card, since every bottle in a batch is the same.
Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
Checkout runs through Stripe: pay by card or any other method Stripe offers you, and the receipt comes by email. If your company needs to pay by invoice or purchase order, send a quote request with the quantity and what your accounts team needs, and we’ll reply by email.
Can you rush an order?
Checkout has no rush option. After you pay, printing, bottling and packing take 8–12 business days, then 2–5 business days in transit: usually two to four weeks in all. If the bottles have to arrive by a set date, ask us before you order.
Can a colleague sign off on the label before we order?
Yes. The Studio saves as you work and gives your design its own link: send it to whoever approves the brand, or open the order panel, download the proof PDF and send that. A colleague who opens the link gets their own copy, so your version stays as you left it. Whoever places the order ticks the proof approval at checkout, and nothing is printed until the order is paid.
Who gives them
Buyer’s and listing agents, real estate teams and brokerages, mortgage lenders and loan officers, title and escrow companies, home builders handing over keys, and property managers welcoming new tenants. Also agents doing pop-bys to past clients, where a small useful gift beats another fridge magnet.
Why it works at a closing
A closing gift competes with every other box in the new house. Hot sauce doesn’t need a place on the wall or a spot in a cupboard that isn’t unpacked yet: it goes straight to the kitchen and gets used at the first takeout dinner on the floor. Your name is on the counter when the neighbors come over and ask who helped them buy.
Property managers can leave one on the counter at move-in, next to the Wi-Fi password and a note about trash day.
Budget per closing: one order, a year of gifts
Every bottle in a batch has the same label, which suits real estate closing gifts: design one welcome-home label with your logo and contact details and use it all year. At four closings a month, the 48-bottle minimum covers 12 months. That order costs $495.00 delivered, which works out to $10.31 per closing, shipping included.
Pop-bys change the count. Add 24 past clients who each get a bottle in spring and again in fall, and the year needs exactly 96 bottles (the 48-bottle minimum plus two cases of 24), for $909.00, or $9.47 a gift. A brokerage or lender office ordering 240 bottles pays $8.57 each. The calculator on this page takes your closings a month, the months to cover and your pop-bys, and returns whole cases, the cost per gift and how many months the order lasts.
Store the cases somewhere cool and dark. Every bottle carries a lot code from bottling; if you’re buying a year’s supply, ask us to confirm the recommended shelf life for your flavor first.
What to put on the label
Because the label is the same for every client, keep it about the home, not the buyer: a welcome-home line on the front and your logo, kept within about 2 inches across. The back panel takes your name, phone and website, a QR code that points to your own site, and your brokerage’s name. Ask your broker what your state requires alongside your name in advertising, since many states expect the brokerage to appear wherever the agent does.
Write the buyer’s name on a card or tag instead. The front also needs a descriptor such as “Hot Sauce” and the net contents line; the Studio adds both.
Realtor pop-by gifts for past clients
The same cases cover pop-bys: a bottle left on a past client’s doorstep in spring, or on the anniversary of their purchase, with a short note. It gets used rather than filed, and it puts your name back in their kitchen right when friends start asking about agents.
Hand the closing bottle over with the keys rather than at the signing table, where it competes with a stack of documents. A card with your three favorite restaurants near the new house makes it feel less like marketing and more like a welcome.
Closing gifts for clients: something to use vs. something engraved
Closing gifts with a logo usually fall into two camps. Engraved cutting boards, doormats and curated boxes are keepsakes: they last, and they cost more per client. A bottle of sauce is the opposite: it is used in the first week, runs out, and is remembered for being useful.
Neither is wrong, and they pair well. One way to split it: keep the engraved piece for your biggest closings and give a bottle at every closing and every pop-by, so nobody on the list is skipped. If you already give a board, a bottle of sauce set on top of it turns a keepsake into dinner.
Deductions and referral rules
In the US, business gifts are generally deductible up to $25 per recipient per tax year, and incidental costs like packaging and mailing generally don’t count toward the limit (IRS Publication 463). At $10.31, one bottle comes in under that limit. This is not tax advice; confirm with your accountant.
Gifts to your own clients are one thing; gifts to people who send you business are another. Federal rules on real estate settlement services (RESPA Section 8) prohibit giving anything of value in exchange for referrals, with an exception for normal promotional activities that aren’t tied to referrals. If you plan to give bottles to lenders, title officers or other agents, ask your broker or compliance team first. Title, escrow and lending teams giving closing gifts should check too: many states limit what they may give under their own anti-inducement rules. This is not legal advice.
Choosing the sauce
You won’t know every buyer’s taste, so choose a medium most households enjoy: Cajun Cayenne (Heat 2/5) or Chipotle (Heat 2/5). If many of your clients are young families, Glitter Bomb Sweet & Sour (Heat 1/5) is our mildest. For summer closings, a 12 oz BBQ sauce like Spicy Whiskey BBQ goes with the first cookout; it’s a separate batch with its own minimum.
Each order ships to one US address, usually your office, and usually arrives two to four weeks after payment. Reorder at least five weeks before the last case runs out. The 5 oz bottles are glass, so keep a few in the car in a padded box rather than loose.
